The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale (NSale) is the best time to stock up on closet basics or to save money on large ticket items. Even if you don’t have a Nordstrom store near you (I don’t), they offer free shipping and returns, which means you can purchase multiple sizes to try on at home. The sale runs for a few weeks and they often restock items that sell out, so keep checking back if you can’t find what you want.
The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is a tiered sale, meaning that some people get to shop the items early. Everyone can shop the sale starting July 28 and it runs through August 9. You can preview the sale items and add them to your wishlist on July 6. If you have a Nordstrom credit card, then the sale opens up earlier for you based on your status. If you’re unsure of your status, just log in to the Nordstrom website and it will tell you when you can start shopping. I only recommend signing up for a Nordstrom credit card if you plan to shop there more than just this sale and you plan to pay off the statement in full.
I am a Nordstrom affiliate but this post is not sponsored. If you purchase something from one my links I may receive a small commission. All opinions are my own.
Don’t forget to check out my blog post on how to stop wasting money on clothes before you click ‘purchase’!
Clothing
- Barefoot Dreams circle cardigan – THE most comfortable cardigan ever! If you want to wrap up in a blanket but still look put together, this is the perfect cardigan and it’s on sale.
- Caslon rounded v-neck t-shirt – Excellent basic t-shirt. Comes in lots of colors and a few simple designs like stripes, camo, or small flowers.
- Caslon utility twill pants – I have the green pair, great basic pants. (only a few sizes left)
- Wit & Wisdom skinny jeans – Highly rated jeans.
- Wit & Wisdom black skinny jeans – Great wardrobe staple, especially for fall.
- Treasure & Bond v-neck sweater – Cute sweater that could be nice with leggings, jeans, or trousers. I wish it came in more colors, though. It’s hard to think about sweaters when it’s been 90+ degrees for weeks but the cooler weather will be here eventually! (only a few sizes left)
- Madewell kent cardigan – Long cardigans are a great staple for casual or work and this one comes in a bunch of colors.
- Halogen open front cardigan – Another great option for a long cardigan and this one has different colors from the Madewell one.
- CeCe lace sleeve blouse – I have this in black and it’s a great blouse for work. I’m pretty sur e I paid full price for mine, oh well!
- Vince Camuto rumpled satin sleeveless blouse – Another great top for the office that layers well under cardigans or blazers.
- Vince Camuto rumple fabric 3/4 sleeve blouse – Similar (but not the same) to the sleeveless one. (only a few sizes left)
- Spanx faux leather leggings – If you want to snag these popular leggings, do it now when they’re 33% off!
- Blondo shoes are excellent quality and all of them are waterproof, which is great for fall and winter!
- B.P. cozy shorts – I have a similar pair that I got at Target and I wear them around the house and to sleep in the summer. The sale price is the same price I paid for the Target pair.
Outerwear
Coats and jackets can be really expensive, so if you’re in need of a new one, snag of these for a discount.
- Kut From the Kloth moto jacket – I ordered this to try. I love moto jackets and this one is faux suede! (only a few sizes left)
- Sam Edelman double breasted wool coat – A very classic coat for 47% off normal price
- Avec Les Filles animal print fleece coat – If you like a statement coat, you can’t go wrong with leopard print.
- BlankNYC suede moto jacket – another suede moto jacket – this one has a belt
- Bernardo puffer jacket with removable bib & hood – This looks like a really excellent winter coat. I like that you can remove the hood and bib.
- BlankNYC faux leather jacket – comes in black and a dark green, both with silver hardware
- BlankNYC faux leather bomber jacket with removable hood – this is similar to the one above but with a removable bib & hood. Comes in black/black and maroon/gray.
- Via Spiga water repellent coat with quilted hooded liner – Looks like a very stylish rain coat that will keep you warm.
Underwear, Loungewear, Activewear
- Natori bliss girl briefs – I bought a couple of these last year and LOVE them. I know even the sale price is a little steep for underwear but I think it’s worth it. They are so comfortable, stay in place, and don’t show panty lines under most pairs of pants. I will be buying a few more pairs.
- Natori bliss French cut briefs – The same as the ones above, just a higher cut. (only a few sizes left)
- Natori minimal contour underwire bra – I recently read this blog post and realized that I’ve been wearing the wrong size bra forever so I’m going to order this one in a few sizes to try out.
- True & Co Bralette – A lot of people rave about this bra. This type of bra doesn’t work for me, but I’m sure it’s very comfortable!
- Zella live in leggings – Very comfortable leggings, I wear mine all the time in the fall and winter.
- Zella live in joggers – I got the men’s version for my husband and he loves them so much so I’ll have to try the women’s!
- Zella restore pocket leggings – Like a cross between leggings and joggers. I’ll be buying these to try.
- Zella twist front tank – Looks like a really cute workout tank. I work out at home so I usually just wear a sports bra and leggings but I might need some tank tops soon.
- Zella cozy wrap jacket – This would be a really cute jacket to wear to the gym or yoga or with any athleisure outfit. (this has been restocked at least once so keep checking back if it’s sold out)
- Ugg slippers – I seem to need a new pair of slippers every year so I’m considering this pair.
Handbags & Accessories
I’m not a handbag kind of person, but I know a lot of people are, so here are some that look interesting or are popular. If you want a discount on a designer bag, this is the time!
- Tori Burch crossbody bag
- Coach leather crossbody bag
- Allsaints leather shoulder/crossbody bag – looks like a versatile bag
- Tori Burch striped crossbody bag
- Tori Burch leather tote
- Allsaints leather backpack – this looks really cute!
- Allsaints leather shoulder bag
- Tori Burch colorblock leather tote – nice neutral colors for fall (or anytime!)
- Kurt Geiger London straw basket tote – very cute for summer!
- Kate Spade initial pendant necklace – I don’t wear gold jewelry but this is cute! Some letters seem to be sold out.
- Nordstrom crystal huggie hoop earrings – comes in gold and silver, nice everyday earring while adding a bit of bling
- Monica Vinader chain necklace – chain necklaces are very trendy and this looks like a nice one – comes in rose gold and silver
- Gorjana crescent pendant necklace – this reminds me of the pendant necklace I wear a lot. It’s always nice to have a go-to pendant necklace for everyday wear.
- Gorjana bar necklace – another option for an everyday necklace
Beauty
I have a minimal makeup and skincare collection so there isn’t much in this category that I’ll be buying, but here are some popular items that you could grab for a discount.
- Necessaire body wash and lotion set – This is the only beauty item I’m planning to buy. I haven’t tried this brand before but I’ve heard good things about it. I recently found out that I’m allergic to 2 types of preservatives used in some personal care products, so I made sure that these do not have those allergens.
- Olaplex Bond Maintenance Hair Care set – If you have bleached and/or heat damaged hair and want to repair it, I highly, HIGHLY recommend using Olaplex. I no longer heat-style my hair and I’ve never bleached it, but I use Olaplex No. 3 about once a month just for maintenance. This is an excellent price for the set and Olaplex hardly ever goes on sale. (as of 7/19 it was sold out, maybe it will be restocked)
- Briogeo Healthy Hair Wonders set – This is a good set if you have dry, frizzy hair but not if you have fine hair. The mask will weigh down your hair if it’s fine but I would recommend this for people with thick, coarse hair that is prone to frizz.
- Living Proof Volume Blast set – I DO recommend this set for fine hair. Pretty much anything that says ‘volume’ should be good for fine, limp hair.
- Bumble and Bumble UV/Protector primer set – If you heat style your hair or spend a lot of time outside, this set is perfect for you. The oil will protect your strands from the heat tools and the damaging rays of the sun.
- Laura Mercier loose setting powder – a very popular powder but I haven’t tried it personally.
- MAC eye shadow palette – looks like a really nice selection of neutrals
- Urban Decay “allnighter” setting spray – another popular product but one that I haven’t tried.
I hope this helps you wade through this huge sale! Remember, you don’t have to buy something just because it’s on sale or just because a blogger/influencer likes it. If you don’t need it, it’s not your style, or it doesn’t fit quite right, don’t waste your money on it!
